Summary:

 

He was 44 years-old at DFD, he and his family were on a boat trip from Aupaluk to Kuujjuaq when they stopped at a local camp site for a break. An argument broke out between Simeonie and Lydia over some beer and she shot him. Police were notified by a witness and two hours after the shooting the police arrived at the seen and pronounced him dead.

Lydia was arrested at the scene and charges with Second-degree murder.

Summary:

 

She was 22 years-old at DFD, she was found in her home badly injured and later died from her injuries.

Her common-law husband Adrien was later arrested and charged with her murder. His trail was set for 27-Mar-06. On 9-Jan-07 he was found guilty of Second-degree murder. On 11-Jan-07 he was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility for parole in 10 years.
