They had called the police 8 times during the night for help, 1st call police made contact but Dunlop gives a fake name and they leave. 2nd call the operator tells the woman to call the police directly. 3rd call Doreen reports McKeown had been stabbed by a man violating a restraining order. The operator tells them to solve the problem themselves, and says they are partly to blame. 4th call it’s hard to understand sisters but you can make out ‘please help me’, operator promises to send police, but no car is dispatched. 5th call and finale call Sisters are making faith sounds and the operator hangs-up and calls the house again. Williams answers the phone and tries to convince the operator that everything is alright. The sisters soon die from their injuries.
