Summary:
Michael was 17 years-old when he
died after being tasered by police on 22-Jul-08. Report were the police chased
him into a back ally where they tasered him after he refused to drop his knife,
he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Summary:
She was 76 years-old at DFD, she burned as
a result of injuries received in a fire which was deliberately set in the Care
home she resided in
Gerald was arrested on 30-Jul-01 and charged
with Manslaughter. He pled guilty to Criminal Negligence causing death and was
sentenced to 18 months in prison in May-02. He was released on Nov-03 after
serving 18 months of his sentence.

Louise was 53 years-old at date filed
missing, he was reported missing by his wife on 10-Aug-04 after he failed to
return from a medical visit to Winnipeg. He left their house on 14-Jun-04 to go
to Winnipeg for an appointment on the 15th; he took no clothing and
only personal grooming item when he left. He contacted his wife several time to
let her know that he would be staying longer and to have money wired to him.
The money was returned on the 22nd after he failed to claim it.
Louis is an alcoholic and has lived on the streets in the past. He has medical
issued associated with year of alcohol abuse. RCMP believes he is in the
Winnipeg area.

Summary:
Scott was 31 years-old when he
was shot at a house party on 29-Mar-08 along with Keeper,
Corey and Ward, Jennifer. RCMP believes the shooting
to be gang related. Three other people were also injured in the shooting: 2 men
aged 19 and 29 and a 41 year-old female, they were taken to hospital were they
made a full recovery from their injuries. Scott is survived but a 8 year-old
daughter and a 10 year-old son.
Howard Russell Roulette was
arrested by RCMP in connection to the shootings on 8-Apr-08 his charges were
dropped and he was released from custody. The Crown Attorney assigned to the
case determined Howard was a witness to the killing and not a suspect.
Colton and a 15 year-old male
were arrested and charged with 3 counts of First degree murder in connection
with their deaths.

Summary:
She was 51 years-old at DFD, she and her
sister McKeown, Corrine were found in Doreen’s
Winnipeg’s, North End home. They had called the police 8 times during the
night for help, 1st call police made contact but Dunlop gives a fake name and
they leave. 2nd call the operator tells the woman to call the police directly.
3rd call Doreen reports McKeown had been stabbed by a man violating
a restraining order. The operator tells them to solve the problem themselves,
and says they are partly to blame. 4th call it’s hard to
understand sisters but you can make out ‘please help me’, operator
promises to send police, but no car is dispatched. 5th call and
finale call Sisters are making faith sounds and the operator hangs-up and calls
the house again. Williams answers the phone and tries to convince the operator
that everything is alright. The sisters soon die from their injuries.
An inquest was ordered by the Coroner and
on Oct-02 Judge Judith Webster released a 164-page report on the inquiry. She
made 62 recommendations, including a key recommendation on staffing levels and
morale in police communications.
William was arrested the next day and
charged with 2 counts of First-degree murder. He later pled guilty to
Second-degree murder for the murders and was sentenced to Life with chance of
parole for 17 years.
